Is HGH Legal? Here’s What You Need to Know

The human growth hormone (HGH) is produced in the body, precisely in the head by a pea-sized pituitary gland and its function is to regulate growth in children and adolescents. HGH can be produced artificially and synthetic HGH when produced is used on children, adolescents, and even adults suffering from growth-related diseases as a result of the pituitary gland in their bodies producing fewer or no hormones to facilitate the growing process.

Synthetic HGH products are not new as they have been around since the 1980s. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) accepts the use of HGH products to treat children suffering from certain growth disorders and even adults with certain other conditions. Today, people do not only use HGH products for growth-related problems alone—you’ll see people using these products to cure or slow down the ageing process and athletes even use the product to boost physical activities. With that in mind, is it still legal to use HGH products? I now know they were legal back in the 80s but are they still legal today? Well, I’m glad you asked. To find out whether or not using HGH is legal, you’ll have to continue reading.

Is HGH legal?

The answer to the question is HGH is both legal and illegal. Whether it’s legal or not, entirely depends on what it’s been used for. Today, HGH products are still being used to treat growth-related problems in children, as well as certain problems in adults which means using HGH products for such problems is legal.

HGH usage becomes illegal when it is used for purposes other than the ones approved by the FDA and prescribed by a physician. This simply means that if you use HGH for other purposes without a physician’s prescription it is deemed illegal.

The FDA accepts the use of HGH products for a small number of medical conditions. The number of medical conditions include:

  1. Short stature in children as a result of hormonal deficiency.
  2. Long-term treatment of growth failure associated with the Turner syndrome
  3. Adult deficiency due to rare pituitary tumors.
  4. Long-term treatment of growth failure as a result of lacking exogenous growth hormone secretion.
  5. Adult short bowel syndrome.
  6. Muscle wasting disease associated with HIV & AIDS.

Even though HGH has a lot of important benefits, the extended use of the product is not advised because it has been known to pose serious risks. Long-term usage of HGH could increase the risk of cancer and other dangerous side effects. That’s why its usage is currently being regulated. Hence, using HGH products outside what is approved by the FDA and without a physician’s prescription is deemed illegal.

Also, if you are an athlete then you should know that the use of HGH products is prohibited for athletes. The World Anti-Doping Agency has banned the use of HGH and in the US, several sports organizations have banned its usage as well.

Can I buy HGH products legally?

The answer is yes. You can buy HGH legally over the counter but when doing so, you’ll have to be extremely careful because most over-the-counter products that carry HGH in their names may not actually contain the human growth hormone so when buying one be sure to carefully read the label and its contents.

If you are looking for an online store where you can buy legal HGH products that do not only carry the name HGH but also contain human growth hormones then you should visit juvepharma.com but before doing so, make sure you are taking the product based on your physician’s prescription.
